How to Save Bookmarks in VLC Media Player?
Bookmarks in the VLC Media Player are of utmost importance because they let you mark certain parts of an audio or video. Basically, you will be able to mark an inevitable part of a media file and later, using the same feature, be ready to go to that portion without trouble. With the help of this feature, you will be able to mark certain parts of your personal files and be able to navigate to it later without hassle. This feature is similar to having a bookmark on Chrome or a bookmark for a book. How To Create a Bookmark
Now that you know how useful a bookmark, you surely want to try your hand at it! To create a bookmark, the following steps are to be followed:
- In order to create a bookmark on a media file, you will have to go to your media file and then select the Portion that you want to bookmark.
- Now hold CTRL + B, or you can do it manually by going to the menu bar, here click on Playback and the press Custom Bookmark followed by Manage.
- Now you will find an option that says Edit Bookmarks. Here tap on Create in order to create a bookmark at the point on the media.
Opening a Saved Bookmark
When you want to open a saved bookmark, all you have to do is go on to the menu and from their click on Custom Bookmark. After the page opens, click on the marker that you want to be navigated to. On the other hand, if you are looking for a shortcut from the Bookmark menu, that can be opened by pressing [CTRL + B] and then double click on the bookmark you like to shift the playback to the point you want to be navigated to. In this way, you can open a saved bookmark and navigate to your favorite part of the media.
Hence you can see that with simple steps, you can not only save a bookmark but also open it. Deleting a bookmark is also equally easy to operate and play.
